0 Una vez se conoció la información de la prohibición del carnaval 2021 en la ciudad de Barranquilla, por parte del alcalde Jaime Pumarejo, las redes sociales han seguido su mirada y su postura a las personas que esperaban con alegría las fiestas.
Tan es así que la lluvia de memes no paró de manifestarse por estos canales alternativos de la sociedad este fin de semana de noche de Guacherna y los próximos donde se realizarían las fechas oficiales de las fiestas. Miremos las ocurrencias de la gente con estos mensajes, una vez se conoció el pronunciamiento oficial del mandatario del Alcalde Jaime Pumarejo sostiene que “vamos bien, pero esta guerra no ha terminado”.
Gobierno reitera que “el Carnaval fue cancelado” y que no habrá días cívicos, como era costumbre por la época. Con 400 hombres más, comandante de la Policía anuncia que controlará a quienes incumplan las medidas. Con el fin de preservar la vida de los barranquilleros y mitigar los riesgos de contagio por COVID-19 durante los días en que normalmente se celebraba el Carnaval 2021, el Distrito anunció que habrá toque de queda y ley seca durante los días 13, 14 y 15 de febrero en la ciudad.
En ese sentido, se restringirá la circulación y quedará prohibido el expendio y consumo de licor en Barranquilla desde las 6:00 p.m. del día sábado 13 de febrero hasta las 5:00 a.m. del lunes 15 de febrero. De igual manera, el Distrito recordó que no habrá días cívicos, como era costumbre por esta época. Los días lunes 15 y martes de 16 de febrero no serán festivos. Los anuncios los hizo el alcalde Jaime Pumarejo Heins, durante una alocución en la que estuvo acompañado del comandante de la Policía Metropolitana, brigadier general Diego Rosero, y los secretarios de Salud y Cultura, Humberto Mendoza y María Teresa Fernández.
El alcalde citó los estudios de seroprevalencia y estimaciones de la Alcaldía, según las cuales, más del 60% de la población ya tuvo el virus; dijo que la ciudad está preparada clínicamente para atender de mejor forma la pandemia, y que la aplicación de la vacuna, para la cual el Distrito está actualizando todas las bases de datos, será la llave que cierre este ciclo. Pero “el peligro no se ha ido todavía y debemos seguir cuidándonos”. Este -reiteró- “no es momento de hacer fiestas”. “No habrá Carnaval, ni siquiera de manera virtual”. Durante la intervención el mandatario fue enfático en que “este año no habrá Carnaval, ni siquiera de manera virtual”, como lo decidió el Distrito hace unos meses, porque “la vida está por encima de todo” .
El Gobierno distrital, sin embargo, no descuidó “ni a la tradición ni a los hacedores”, en el marco de lo cual la secretaria de Cultura y Patrimonio, María Teresa Fernández, señaló que la bolsa de estímulos benefició, mediante convocatoria pública, más de 600 proyectos que hoy conforman la agenda de conmemorativa del Carnaval. La idea, según dijo, es que los barranquilleros se acerquen a la tradición y vivan en sus casas las raíces de este patrimonio cultural sin los riesgos que presentan las celebraciones.
