En el evento también se entregó el título de vivienda 10 mil en el departamento a una familia del distrito de Barranquilla. El ministro de Vivienda, Jonathan Malagón, destacó que el Atlántico es “campeón” en materia de comercialización y titulación de vivienda en el país. Gobernación del Atlántico.
La gobernadora del Atlántico, Elsa Noguera, acompañó al presidente de la República, Iván Duque, a entregar en la ciudadela Santa Sofía, en el municipio de Sabanagrande, el subsidio 21 mil de vivienda de interés social (VIS) Mi Casa Ya en el departamento y, que a su vez, es el primer subsidio adicional Vivienda para la Gente que otorga la Gobernación del Atlántico. De acuerdo con el presidente Duque, durante su gobierno se han cumplido todos los récords en asignación de subsidios de Mi Casa Ya y uno de los departamentos con mayor asignación de subsidios es Atlántico, “donde hacemos hoy entrega del subsidio 21 mil en lo que va del gobierno en este departamento. Al día de hoy hemos asignado en el país más de 125 mil subsidios a la cuota inicial y cerca del 75 por ciento de los subsidios van a hogares de ingresos menores a dos salarios mínimos. Con esto hemos dinamizado el sector vivienda y, lo más importante, es que esto ocurra en medio de una pandemia. Nuestro compromiso era impulsar la compra de vivienda con cuotas más bajas que las de un arriendo, impulsar el mejoramiento de vivienda y el agua potable y saneamiento básico, hoy esto es una realidad en el Atlántico”, afirmó el mandatario, quien concluyó asegurando que este será el año de más ventas de vivienda en Colombia. Por su parte, la Gobernadora del Atlántico, Elsa Noguera, indicó que con el programa Vivienda para la Gente el departamento se ha propuesto complementar el subsidio de Mi Casa Ya (27 millones de pesos que aporta el Gobierno Nacional) con un subsidio de 6 millones 300 mil pesos adicionales, para cerrar la compra de vivienda de interés prioritario a las familias de bajos ingresos. De esta forma, la cuota del banco que pagará el beneficiario será menor (cerca de 280 mil pesos) a lo que hoy paga en arriendo. “Esperamos entregar un total de 5 mil subsidios antes del 2023, de los cuales 1.600 los entregaremos durante este año, con una inversión de la Gobernación del Atlántico de 31 mil millones de pesos”, aseguró la
mandataria, quien agregó que en un mes el departamento ya ha asignado 50 subsidios a igual número de familias atlanticenses, que sueñan con ser propietarias de viviendas ubicadas en proyectos construidos en 21 municipios (excepto Soledad y Barranquilla). El beneficiario número 21 mil, que recibió de manos del presidente Duque tanto el subsidio Mi Casa Ya como el subsidio departamental, es Elkin Fontalvo, quien vive actualmente con su esposa, Cindy Gallardo, y su hija de 12 años en la casa de su mamá, en el municipio de Soledad. “Vivimos ahí desde hace siete años y ya nos sentíamos incómodos. Mi esposa tiene seis meses de embarazo y ya estábamos deseando tener nuestra propia casa. Gracias a estos dos subsidios, este deseo ya es una realidad. No vemos la hora de estrenarnos nuestra vivienda”, expresó emocionado el nuevo propietario. En su intervención el ministro de Vivienda, Jonathan Malagón, resaltó que el Atlántico es el departamento campeón en materia de construcción y titulación de vivienda en el país. “La medalla de oro se la lleva Atlántico por varias razones. La primera, es el departamento que más ha crecido en comercialización de vivienda: más de 23 mil atlanticenses han comprado casa en los últimos 12 meses y han cumplido el sueño de ser propietarios. En términos de subsidios, se han entregado más de 25 mil. Con una particularidad, que lo estamos haciendo más rápido; pasamos de demorarnos 150 días en 2018 para entregar mil subsidios, a entregar los últimos mil en menos de un mes. Y, en titulación, en Atlántico entregamos hoy el título 10 mil. No solo en Soledad, que es el campeón en titulación en el país, también en otros 10 municipios. Este es el departamento donde más se entregan títulos per cápita y por eso se lleva la presea dorada”, señaló el Ministro, quien agregó que esto ha sido posible gracias al trabajo articulado entre el gobierno departamental y el nacional.
